IN PROTEST OF PROTESTING NURSES
After registered nurses within the UMass Memorial Health Care system delivered a letter to CEO Eric Dickson objecting to staffing and service cuts, our story on their action led to this reader reaction:
“Let the people who own the hospital or (administer) it make the decisions on staffing. The nurses should care for the sick as they are supposed to. Why is it that employees think they all have a say in the running of the business?”

GETTING SMART ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
A member of our LinkedIn group posed a timely question: "What are you reading this summer?" In a season in which many don't like to put their brains in overdrive, one commenter brought up a topic that requires a lot of deep thinking: artificial intelligence, or AI:
"A great deal of books on AI. It is a fascinating subject that will have far-reaching impact over the next 20 years. All hail our robot overlords."
