RAMAKANTH ANANTHOJI of Fitchburg was named lab manager by ETR Laboratories in Leominster, an analytic laboratory for industry and individuals. He previously worked for Key Safety Systems of Lakeland, Fla., and was a faculty member at two Florida universities. He has a Ph.D. from the University of South Florida.

KATHLEEN M. TOOMEY was hired by Spectrum Health Systems of Worcester. Toomey, a Worcester city councilor, will serve as a regional outreach representative. She was previously vice president of community and external affairs for Autumn Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester. She earned her undergraduate degree at Regis College.

Also at Spectrum, DR. JEFFREY BAXTER was named chief medical officer, having served as medical director for the group's outpatient treatment centers for five years. He is an assistant professor at UMass Medical School's Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, and is board certified in family medicine and addiction medicine.

TIM O'LEARY was hired by Westborough-based Ross Mortgage Co., as a senior loan officer. He has more than 40 years of sales and marketing experience, the past 13 in the mortgage business. He will work out of the Leominster office.

JOSEPH A. ALLRED was hired by Worcester-based Seven Hills Foundation as vice president of the Stetson School in Barre, where he had been serving as interim vice president. Allred has been employed at the school since 2011, serving as program director and overseeing residential, clinical, education, nursing, training, program quality improvement, maintenance and food service for the 108-bed residential facility. Previously, he worked at The Key Program in Worcester. The Worcester resident holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Utah University; a master's in organizational management and leadership from Springfield College; and a juris doctorate from the University of Massachusetts Law School in North Dartmouth.

AMANDA RIIK and CYNTHIA PAYNE were hired by Veterans Inc. of Worcester, a nonprofit. Riik will serve as senior manager of communications and events. She previously worked as communications specialist for the Worcester city manager's office and before that, as public relations manager for Veterans Inc. Riik holds a bachelor's degree from Worcester State University. Payne was hired as human resources manager, having previously served in that capacity at AdCare Hospital in Worcester. She has an undergraduate degree from Assumption College and a master's from Nichols College.

Meanwhile, ALLISON ALAIMO and JOHN PERSON were promoted at Veterans Inc. Alaimo is vice president for finance, development and administration. The graduate of Worcester State University was previously director of finance and development. Person is director of operations, having worked for the organization for nine years.

CARLY GRIMAUDO and EMILY QUINN were hired by The Worcester Sharks hockey team. Grimaudo is an account executive while Quinn will serve as a marketing and operations coordinator. Both interned with the team last season and are graduates of the College of the Holy Cross.

Also with the Sharks, KRISTYN GALANTE was promoted to ticket sales manager from account executive. The Northborough native is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University.

LISA ROOD was promoted to vice president at United Bank. She was previously regional manager in the Worcester and Northern Connecticut branches. She joined the bank as a branch operations supervisor in 2006.

JOHN SBROGNA was inducted as president of the Montachusett Area Rotary Club. A financial advisor with Baystate Financial of Worcester, he lives in Leominster. He served as a military police officer in the U.S. Army.

DR. JOANNE SAMANT was hired as a pediatrician with Reliant Medical Group of Worcester, and will practice at the group's May Street site in the city. She earned a medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, N.Y., and completed her internship and residency at UMass Medical Center. Dr. Samant is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

MICHELE HAZELHURST was hired by Clinton Savings Bank as a branch manager for its Boylston location. Her banking career began as a teller at Brookline Savings Bank in 1983. She is a resident of Worcester.

NICK KREUZ and ARTHUR SMITH were hired by The Training Associates of Westborough. Kreuz, a Worcester resident and graduate of St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., is a senior learning solutions advisor who previously worked for Axzo Press. Smith was hired as a learning solutions advisor. He most recently worked in Concord as an inside sales representative at EveryNetwork Inc. Smith, of Worcester, holds a bachelor's degree in communications and media from Fitchburg State University.

PATRICK GIAMMARCO and ROBERT SAMAREL were hired by Maynard-based construction firm JM Coull Inc., as superintendents. Giammarco most recently worked at Cutler Associates in Worcester. Samarel joins JM Coull from the TRB Group in Hooksett, N.H.

Also at JM Coull, MATT LAVANGIE was promoted to project manager from assistant project manager. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.

CRAIG NARDI and CHARLES A. PIERCE were both hired by Webster Five Cents Savings Bank. Nardi is vice president and director of retail lending who most recently worked at MassBay Credit Union as chief lending officer. Pierce will serve as a mortgage originator in the Dudley, Oxford, Auburn and Webster territory.

ERICA AYISI was hired as a Worcester News Tonight general assignment reporter with Charter Communications' Charter TV3 team. She most recently served as an editorial desk assistant for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. Ayisi is a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology in New York City.

TERRI CAMESANO was named Worcester Polytechnic Institute's new dean of graduate studies. She's a chemical engineering professor at the school. Camesano started as a faculty member at WPI in 2000. She holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and environmental science from the University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y., a master's from the University of Arizona; and a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University.

TOBEY FOSSEY and ROBERT F. ROONEY JR. were hired by Bancroft School in Worcester. Fossey will serve as chief advancement officer. The Northborough resident was previously capital campaign director and associate director of development at Belmont Day School in Belmont. Rooney, from Holden, is chief financial officer. He most recently was director of business and finance at The Master's School in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. Rooney is a graduate of Suffolk University.
