Renewable energy company Ameresco, headquartered in Framingham, reported $56.9 million in profits in 2020, according to its earnings report on Monday.
That figure is a 41% increase from the year prior, when Ameresco reported $40.3 million in net income.
For the three months ending Dec. 31, the company reported profits of $23.8 million, up from $20.6 million during the same quarter a year prior, an increase of 15%.
Following the year’s notable growth, the company plans to lean in toward what it views as a Washington, D.C. friendly to renewable energy.
“We see substantial growth opportunities on the horizon for Ameresco. With the new Administration in Washington, low to no carbon energy solutions are once again in focus leading to an ever-increasing addressable market,” said George Sakellaris, Ameresco president and CEO, in a statement.
