Chartier founded his construction firm in 2008, growing from a crew of three men to more than 20 employees. Christof says what separates C.M. from other contractors is not the skills of its crew, but their personable demeanor.
Chartier is a member of the planning board and agricultural committee in Templeton, Knights of Columbus, Assumption College Alumni Association and Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce.
What is your most significant professional goal? To always treat the members of our crew as friends, cognizant of their goals, strengths, trials and weak points.
What would you like to tell your 10-year-old self? Don’t be afraid to keep playing in the sandbox.
The people I work with would tell you I... can be impatient and intense, but I am generally happy-go-lucky.
Who is the fictional character you are most like? I like to think I have a lot in common with John Wayne, but my wife pointed out that he is not a fictional character. She suggested I’m most like George Bailey from “It’s a Wonderful Life” because I am, in her words, “generous and loyal to a fault.” (I knew I married her for a reason!)
