World Energy Helps Airport With Energy Contract
World Energy Solutions Inc., the Worcester company that runs online auctions for energy and green commodities, has helped the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport secure a new electricity and green energy contract.
The airport, which described its energy costs as an eight-figure annual investment, was able to beat its prior rate on the deal while adding 20 percent renewable energy to its mix, World Energy said.
The process of reaching the agreement involved multiple auctions and months of research into energy pricing issues.
Delivery on the new contract begins in March 2010.
