Littleton-based Workers Credit Union promoted Robert DaSilva to the newly created position of senior vice president, chief lending officer.
DaSilva brings to the position 25 years in credit union lending and executive leadership experience in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Prior to joining Workers Credit Union, DaSilva worked at Greenwood Credit Union in Warwick, Rhode Island, as the vice president of retail lending, according to a Friday press release from WCU.
“I look forward to the innovation that Bob will bring to his new role,” WCU Chief Member Experience Officer Elizabeth Hayes said in the press release. “He will lead with vision and commitment. Bob has a combination of expertise, leadership and vision for the future that is in alignment with the Workers Credit Union culture and the Workers Way. I am excited for this well-deserved promotion.”
DaSilva is a U.S. Army veteran and volunteers as a member of the Mount Wachusett Community College Veteran/Student Professional Development Committee.
Workers Credit Union is the second largest credit union in Central Massachusetts, as ranked second by assets as of March 31, according to the WBJ Research Department, behind only Digital Federal Credit Union of Marlborough.
As of Dec. 31, Workers Credit Union had more than $2.6 billion in assets and employed 365 full-time employees, according to data from the National Credit Union Administration.
