Slowey McManus Communications, a public relations firm operating out of Worcester and Boston, has promoted BRITTANY MURPHY to managing director. Murphy, who joined SMC more than four years ago as a senior account executive, most recently served as the company’s account director and centers her work on SMC’s healthcare, energy, and nonprofit clients. She is a graduate from Emerson College in Boston.

PATRICK O’HARA has been appointed manager of membership recruitment and engagement at the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, based in Fitchburg. O’Hara has worked with Central Massachusetts businesses for more than 25 years in industries including real estate, radio, and advertising. He comes to the chamber having most recently served as territory sales manager at online real estate marketplace Land.com. O’Hara earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Northeastern University in Boston.

ERA Key Realty Services has hired five new realtors to work at the firm’s Whitinsville office and one at its Auburn office. JULIANA DE FREITAS SILVA joins ERA Key having previously served as a sales representative at Ultimate Stone Surfaces in Watertown after immigrating to the U.S. from Brazil. She attended MassBay Community College in Wellesley. STEVEN FRENCH comes to the realty firm having previously worked at CENTURY 21 in Whitinsville. A graduate of Gordon College, French had served as assistant cross country and track-and-field coach at the Wenham institution. JUAN DIAZ has worked as a program monitor at the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office and as a landscaping and maintenance worker for the Auburn Department of Public Works. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Saint Leo University in Florida. DEBRA PALUMBO worked as a broker at eXp Realty in Boston before joining ERA Key, and NEISY RIVERA worked in accounting. MAKAYLA LOMAX has joined the firm’s Auburn office. Prior to joining ERA Key, Lomax worked as an administrative assistant at Worcester Community Action Council.

DAVID L’ECUYER, former president and CEO of Shrewsbury-based Central One Federal Credit Union, has been inducted into the Cooperative Credit Union Association’s Hall of Fame. L’Ecuyer led Central One for nearly 30 years from 1994 until 2022, during which time the credit union’s assets increased sevenfold to $735 million and its membership more than doubled to exceed 35,000 members.

The Worcester Community Action Council has named NICHOLAS LAZZARO and DOMENICA PERRONE as the social services provider’s newest board members. Lazzaro is the founder of Nick’s On-Site Detailing, a car detailing company in Millbury. He graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and is pursuing his master’s degree at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. Perrone works as the director of community engagement and outreach for UMass Chan Medical School’s Collaborative in Health Equity. Previously, she has served in leadership positions at Clark University in Worcester and the City of Worcester’s Department of Health and Human Services.

The North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce in Fitchburg has selected 26 applicants to participate in its 2025 Community Leadership Institute. The nine-month program is aimed at providing participants with skills and knowledge on topics including media and crisis communications; nonprofit governance and volunteerism; and economic development. Clinton Savings Bank has hired AUDREY CROZIER as the banking institution’s assistant vice president/loan operations manager. In her new role, Crozier will head CSB’s loan operations team and oversee all aspects of loan servicing for commercial, consumer, and residential loans. She earned her associate’s degree in business administration from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester.

KERRY MAYNARD has been named president of Stow-based construction company E.T.& L. Having joined the firm in 2005, Maynard has held roles including office engineer, project engineer, and project manager/estimator, and most recently served as E. T. & L.’s vice president. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

ELIZABETH MANDELL

Open Sky Community Services has hired ELIZABETH MANDELL as the Worcester-based human services nonprofit’s new vice president of integrated behavioral health services. In her new position, Mandell will manage the implementation of a substance abuse and mental health services administration grant awarded to Open Sky’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. Mandell graduated with her master’s degree in social work from Boston College and her bachelor’s degree in social work from Bridgewater State University.
