Milford-based Waters Corp. reported a third quarter profit of $94.7 million on sales of $374 million.
The sales total is a 7 percent increase over the same period a year ago. During that period, the laboratory equipment maker reported a profit of $75.9 million.
In the first nine months of the year, the company’s sales hit $1.2 billion compared to $1.1 billion. Profits increased from $219 million to $255 million.
The company said the growth was fueled by increased shipments to customers in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Geographically, the company’s growth has been concentrated in Asia and the Americas.
