Framingham-based Staples Inc. anticipates a mixed bag of sales results in the third quarter, including domestic deliveries up slightly but a drop in domestic and international retail sales.
The company held an investor conference on Tuesday in which it provided a preview of results it will release on Nov. 18.
North American delivery sales are expected to be up about 2 percent over last year, while same-store sales are projected to fall about a percentage point. International sales are expected to drop about 5 percent and European same-store sales are projected to be down 2 percent.
The company still expects to make a full-year profit.
Staples recorded about $24 billion in sales last year. The company has 91,000 employees working in 26 countries.
