A Holden-based developer is pitching a five-building, 491-unit luxury apartment complex for a site off of Grafton Street in Worcester.
Brandt Lane Development presented in front of the Worcester Conservation Commission on Nov. 18, seeking environmental permissions to construct Grafton Woods Luxury Living, a planned residential development at 4 Brandt Lane. Brandt Lane Development purchased the 17.7-acre site for $4.3 million in 2023.
Plans call for the creation of five four-story buildings, alongside a parking deck and an open common area featuring a basketball court, lawn space, and a bicycle corral. In total, 793 parking spaces are planned for the site.

The site is the current location of a single-family home and several junk stockpiles containing scrap metal, car parts, and other discarded materials, according to application materials submitted to the commission by Brandt Lane Development.
The construction of the development will result in the remediation of waste materials at the site and the reconstruction of Brandt Lane, according to statements made by Mitch Maslanka, a wetland scientist for Northborough-based Goddard Consulting, during the Nov. 18 hearing.
After requesting additional details from the applicant involving phase planning and other aspects of the proposal, the commission motioned to continue the discussion until its next meeting scheduled for Dec. 9.
