UMass Campus Wins Foodservice Award

Restaurants & Institutions magazine has picked the University of Massachusetts Amherst as one of six recipients of its 2008 Ivy Awards.
According to the magazine, the university won the award for replacing cafeteria lines with multiple dining stations, introducing global cuisine, beginning a guest chef program and a commitment to using local food and sustainable farming.
"UMass Amherst is a model for contemporary campus foodservice," the magazine said.
