Magplane Technology, Inc. of Littleton, the developer of a magnetic levitation system for high-speed trains, is expanding a joint venture agreement with partners in Inner Mongolia.
Magplane has entered a technical services contract worth $1.9 million, which comes as an addition to previously announced joint venture agreements. The company is helping to build a demonstration project this year, and it expects the joint venture to begin construction on the first “MagPipe” commercial line in the first quarter of 2009.
