Worcester-based Bay State Bank has partnered with State Treasurer Deborah Goldberg to hold two virtual workshops seeking to help the state’s entrepreneurs manage and improve their business finances.
The free virtual workshops will cover topics including financial management, understanding banking services, and securing financing, according to a Monday press release from Bay State and the Office of the State Treasurer.
The first workshop will be held on Wednesday, beginning with remarks from Goldberg and Bay State President CEO Seth Pitts. The workshop will be presented in English, with Spanish and Portuguese live interpretations available. The second workshop is scheduled for April 30.
“Small businesses have always been the economic engines driving successful communities everywhere. Bay State Bank plays an important role in this journey for countless businesses and entrepreneurs in our communities,” Pitts said in the press release announcing the initiative. “We are honored to work alongside Treasurer Goldberg’s Small Business Initiative to provide business owners from all starting points and backgrounds with the tools to succeed.”
Interested parties can register for the workshops here.
The workshop series comes amid other efforts to boost the region’s entrepreneurial scene, including the hosting of the first ever StartUp Week Worcester and the January announcement of Auxilium, a new startup hub in Downtown Worcester.
