Natick-based The Mathworks says its new MATLAB and Simulink programs can be learned more quickly and will allow students to spend more time on projects and actual coursework.
The new Student Version Release 2008b of MATLAB and Simulink are easier to learn and more intuitive for science, math and engineering students already familiar with certain programming languages, the company said.
The Mathworks has also produced a free, online video tutorial designed to familiarize students with MATLAB and Simulink in less than two hours.
