Incomes Fell In 2009

Per capita personal income in Worcester County stood at $42,021 in 2009, below the state average of $49,653 but above the national average of $39,635, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Personal income includes money from all sources, including wages and salaries, health insurance benefits, social security benefits and investment income.

In Middlesex County, per capita personal income was $58,744, and in Norfolk County it was $61,595. The per capita number fell between 2008 and 2009 in most locations.
