The Hanover Insurance Group, based in Worcester, has joined a national insurance agent partnership to strengthen its bonds within the industry.
The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA), an 82-year-old trade association representing insurance agents and their employees, said Hanover has joined the PIA Partnership. The partnership was started by PIA in 1996 and is an organization of senior insurance company executives that “identifies areas of opportunity in the agency-company partnership, facilitates dialogue between senior company executives and PIA leaders and conducts solution-oriented research to enable the creation of practical hands-on tools for agents.”
"We are very pleased to join The PIA Partnership," said Dick Lavey, president of field operations and chief marketing officer at The Hanover. "As a company that has partnered exclusively with independent agents for generations, we have great appreciation for PIA and its membership."
