The new owner of the Holiday Inn Fitchburg, which purchased the former Courtyard by Marriott a year ago, has invested $750,000 in renovating the property, according the hotel chain.
The hotel’s owner, Michigan-based Durga LLC, and its management group, Horwath HTL Hotel Management, purchased new bedding, and upgraded bathrooms and amenities in the hotel’s 245 guest rooms. The hotel’s restaurant also has a new menu.
Durga purchased the property, which includes a CoCo Key water park, last year for $2.8 million from Sage Hospitality Group and decided to “change the flag” to a Holiday Inn.
The hotel will host a grand opening event on July 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
