As the price of fossil fuels continues to soar and homeowners take advantage of government incentives for using renewable energy, more companies are searching for inroads into the Bay State.
Adding to the mix, Acton-based installer 621 Energy has signed on with Williston, Vt., firm AllEarth Renewables to install its AllSun Tracker solar electric system throughout Massachusetts.
The AllSun Tracker is a ground-mounted system used by GPS and wireless technology to follow the sun throughout the day and boost solar production up to 45 percent over rooftop installations, the company said, adding that one solar tracker will produce enough energy to power most of a typical Massachusetts home.
The first AllSun Tracker installation by 621 Energy was completed last month at The Trustees of Reservations Moose Hill Farm property in Sharon and included five trackers totaling 27 kilowatts, the company said.
