Aubuchon became the fifth president and CEO of Aubuchon Hardware in 2015, focused on transforming it into the most convenient hometown hardware store chain. With more than 100 stores in the Northeast, he sees growth in the next 10 years in new markets, acquisitions and organic growth.
He serves as president of Applewild School Board of Trustees and on the boards of W.E. Aubuchon Co., National Retail Hardware Assoc., Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts and North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce.
What will the title of your memoirs be? “The More I Learn, The Less I Know” – because being a humble, lifelong learner is worth pursuing.
Who gave you the best advice? My dad told me more than half of anything in life is simply showing up. It reminds me of General George Patton’s advice, “A good plan executed now, is better than a perfect plan next week.”
I prepare for the unexpected by...thinking.
If you could have dinner with any four people, who would they be? My great-grandfather, who founded Aubuchon Hardware in 1908; Pope Francis; George Carlin; my mom.
