The three brothers who run Northborough wholesale fuel distributor Yatco Energy have purchased the Yankee Food Mart and gas station on Route 12 in Worcester for $2.8 million.
The station will be the 17th in the state operated by brothers Tarek, Hassan and Khalil Yatim, who have been in the gas station business since 1993, according to the Yatco website.
The location also includes a Dunkin Donuts drive-thru attached to the convenience store.
They plan to switch the new Yankee station at 67 W. Boylston St. over to a Gulf station in 2018, and potentially make in-store renovations, according to Hassan Yatim.
The brothers formed a separate entity, HTK8 Yankee, on Dec. 1 to purchase the gas station, and that business is headquartered in the same Bearfoot Road office building in Northborough as Yatco.
