Worcester Business Journal's award ceremony for the 2020 Business Leaders of the Year and the WBJ Hall of Fame will be held virtually, for the first time ever, at 4 p.m. today.

The awards ceremony was originally scheduled for late March at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston, but the event was postponed as social distancing measures began to be implemented in an effort to stem the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Given the uncertain future of the ability to have large social gatherings, WBJ decided to hold the event virtually.
"In order to ensure the health and safety of our audience, the award winners, and their friends and family, WBJ decided a virtual event was the best way to honor their accomplishments, with fun and creative videos, while still closely following our typical award ceremony format," WBJ Editor Brad Kane said.
The seven Business Leaders of the Year and the three new members of the now 13-member WBJ Hall of Fame were announced in the March 2 print edition of WBJ.
