The Arbella at Bramble Hill, a 123-unit senior housing complex under construction in Worcester, is set to welcome its first residents in July.

Located at the former site of the Bramble Hill mansion at 757 Salisbury St., the active senior complex includes three residential buildings, with a clubhouse and lawn in the center.

The project is being led by United Group of Companies, a real estate and property management firm based in New York. Two other United Group projects, The Arbella at Ashland and The Arbella at Newbury Street in Peabody, have been proposed in the state. The Ashland project will involve a seven-building senior complex with 156 apartments and 24 townhouses, according to its website.

One of the three buildings and the clubhouse at Bramble Hill are nearing completion and is expected to have its first residents move in this summer, with the other two residential buildings expected to open this fall, according to a Friday email from Jeddy Johnson, communications manager for United Group. Both one- and two-bedroom apartments are available as options for residents.

Rents at Arbella at Bramble Hill range from $2,795 for a one-bedroom unit to $3,995 for the complex’s most-expensive two-bedroom unit, according to the project’s website.

The age 55+ community’s clubhouse includes amenities such as a pool, multimedia theater, and a golf simulator.

Featuring a number of different available social activities for residents, the community’s intent is to provide seniors with independent living while feeling supported, said Jeff Smetana, chief development officer at United Group.

Smetana told WBJ during a site tour in February the company has seen significant interest from potential residents who already live in the area. He noted residents moving into the active senior community had the opportunity to free up single-family houses for the next generation of families.

United Group bought the site for $4.9 million in July 2023 after first proposing the project in January of that year
