The United Way of Central Massachusetts has made a $40,000 grant to Boy Scouts of America Mohegan Council to repair storm damage at the Treasure Valley Scout Reservation.
The Rutland reservation suffered about $500,000 in damage during the ice storm that ravaged Central Massachusetts last December. Equipment, buildings, vehicles, roads and activity areas all needed repair. About $200,000 of that damage was repaired by volunteers.
The Treasure Valley reservation has been in operation for 94 years. The Worcester-based Mohegan Council plans to make the camp a year-round facility.
