UMass Has A Heart
Four researchers from UMass Medical School in Worcester have received American Heart Association grants totaling $617,000.
Valerie De Crescenzo, Alejandro Heuck, HyunSuk Jung and Chris Olson Jr. each won a grant or fellowship to help them study issues related to heart disease.
The AHA has spent $1 billion nationally over the past 10 years to study cardiovascular disease and strokes.
