Worcester Business Journal’s will host its 2025 Central MA Economic Forecast Forum this Tuesday to explore the region’s economic and real estate landscapes by tapping into the minds of key industry leaders.  

The event will take place starting at 7:15 a.m., Feb. 11 at Top of the Tower located at 446 Main St. in Worcester. The forum is put on in partnership with the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The forum will include a keynote presentation by Mark Melnik, director of economic and public policy research at the UMass Donahue Institute, followed by two panel discussions. 

The first panel will focus on real estate development trends and include:

  • Meagen Donoghue, executive director of the Fitchburg Redevelopment Authority
  • Brittany Gesner, director of land development for Worcester firm VHB
  • Brian Poitras, director of capital markets for Worcester development firm GFI Partners
  • Peter Staiti, senior vice president and regional executive for commercial banking at Rockland Trust
  • Moderator: Darnell Dunn, director of business development at the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce

The second panel will focus on adaptive reuse of properties and housing innovation and include:

  • Meredith Harris, executive director of the Marlborough Economic Development Corp
  • Katie Krock, manager of Worcester real estate firm Commerce Associates
  • Tim Reardon, chief of data and research at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities
  • Anthony Rossi, principal of Newton-based Rossi Development
  • Moderator: Samantha McDonald, partner at Worcester law firm Bowditch
