The TJX Companies, Inc. in Framingham recorded $1.7 billion in sales in the five week period ending September 30, a 14% increase over the same period ending October 1 of last year.
Over a 35-week period ending September 30, TJX reported sales of $10.9 billion, representing a 9% increase over last year’s sales of $10 billion. Consolidated comparable store sales increased 9% over last year for the five week period ending September 30, and for the 35 week period ending at the same time, consolidated comparable store sales increased 4% over last year.
The company will release its October 2006 sales on Thursday, November 2.
