Thermo Fisher Scientific, the Waltham-based biotech company with operations in Central Massachusetts, has completed its acquisition of an Australian manufacturing firm for an undisclosed amount.
Thermo Fisher bought Lomb Scientific, which has about 100 employees and 2009 year-end revenues of about $34 million. Lomb has offices in Australia and New Zealand and makes laboratory chemicals and instruments for the science industry.
Thermo Fisher, which has operations in Worcester, has international revenues of more than $10 billion and 35,000 employees.
