Texas logistics provider expands to Shrewsbury

KMM Corporation, a Texas-based logistics and services provider, has opened its first Massachusetts location in Shrewsbury.

The company leased a 12,300-square-foot building at 820 Boston Turnpike, according to Kelleher & Sadowsky of Worcester, which represented the company in the leasing. KMM moved in earlier this month and currently has seven employees at the site.

Although most of its work has traditionally come from Texas, California and the Pacific Northwest, KMM’s network services division has started to grow on a national scale over the last few months, leading to an expansion, said KMM spokeswoman Sarah McNab. Customers in the eastern U.S. are increasingly in need of fiber, cellular and data deployment services, according to the company.

Revenue from network services is projected to double this year because of a stronger presence in the Northeast, said McNab.

KMM chose Shrewsbury because of its proximity to the major population centers of Massachusetts, said McNab. It’s just far enough outside of Boston to be shielded from the congestion that surrounds the capital city.
