Spectrum Health Systems names four to C-suite in sweeping executive promotions

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., a Worcester-based addiction treatment nonprofit, announced eight promotions within its senior leadership team on Monday.

The promotions include:

  • Kristin Nolan was promoted to chief behavioral health officer. She has been with Spectrum Health Systems for more than 10 years and most recently served as senior vice president of behavioral health.
  • Christopher Petrozzi will now serve as chief organizational development officer, overseeing strategic planning, compliance, and quality improvement activities at the organization.
  • Stacy Flanagan was promoted to chief human resources officer from a previous position as vice president of human resources.
  • Lisa Blanchard, promoted to chief clinical officer, will lead the establishment of clinical policies and standards of care. She has been at Spectrum Health Systems since 1999, most recently as vice president of clinical services.
  • Cindy Buraczynski will now serve as senior vice president of external affairs.
  • Earl Warren was promoted to vice president of correction, where he will provide executive oversight of correctional treatment programs in Massachusetts, Virginia, and Georgia.  He was previously a state director of correctional treatment services.
  • Theresa Caron will serve as vice president of revenue cycle management, where she will manage reimbursement activities for inpatient and outpatient services. 
  • David Nefussy, promoted to vice president of payor relations, will negotiate agreements with managed care organizations and insurance companies. He served as vice president of business development before this role.

In 2021 Spectrum Health Systems grew its employee base by more than 1,000 and opened a new rapid-access treatment center in Framingham, according to its press release. It entered partnerships with Tufts Health Plan and the Massachusetts Department of Correction.

Spectrum Health Systems has the second most employees out of all addiction treatment providers in Central Massachusetts.
