Q. How are you settling in at your new office?
A. It's going very well. The staff is knowledgeable, they care about our students and they are also open to change.

Q. What challenges do you see in your new position?
A. Making sure that when we create changes, they benefit the campus as a whole and not just a small part of what we do.

Q. What's your favorite thing about Central Massachusetts?

A. Right now I'd say Davis Farm in Sterling - that's my son Ryan's favorite place. It's priceless to watch him run around and scream for joy.

Q. How close is this to what you imagined in high school you'd end up doing?
A. In a roundabout way. I wanted to work with people, make a difference in people's lives, and be able to perform public speaking duties.

Q. How far is your commute to the office?
A. 45 minutes each way

Q. What could local and state governments do to make things better for your business?
A. Aside from providing additional funding for education, I think that there has to be more emphasis on financial literacy so that students become better educated about budgeting, borrowing, repayment and understanding their credit.

Q. What's the best way to keep your energy and motivation up when you're having a long day?
A. Receiving picture mail of Ryan and hearing about his daily exploits always makes me smile and gets me through long days.

Q. Where's the best place to get lunch near your new location?
A. I like the Boynton, NE Roast Beef and the Subway on Highland Avenue. They are all friendly there.

Q. Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
A. I've been a public address announcer at sporting events for over 15 years. I will be at Alumni Field this fall as the voice of Becker Hawks football. Come join us!

Q. What's on your to-do list for the next couple of days?

A. Orientation sessions and assisting families with financing options. Six weeks until school starts - where did the summer go?
