OTC Deal For Symbollon

Symbollon Pharmaceuticals Inc. of Framingham has signed an agreement to grant Integra Labs Inc. exclusive rights to manufacture, market and sell Symbollon's dietary supplement IoGen.
The five-year deal puts all the responsibility for making and selling IoGen in countries where it is allowed to be sold over the counter on Integra. Integra will pay Symbollon royalties on all sales and the agreement is also subject to certain milestone and minimum sales requirements.
The two companies are also looking into other over-the-counter sales opportunities for Symbollon's iodine products.
Symbollon's "molecular iodine technology" is intended for use in women's health care.
