Nursing Centers Form Partnership
Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester have formed a partnership to provide services to residents of the Shrewsbury facility.
Shrewsbury Nursing President and CEO Chip Emerson said that, previously, some residents had to travel long distances for speech and occupational therapy. With the partnership, which began about a month ago, they are able to get screening and short-term rehabilitative care close to home.
"It's working out just great," Emerson said. "My occupancy is growing ... which it wouldn't have without this relationship.
Emerson said he is also preparing to launch at 21-bed memory care unit at the Shrewsbury facility within the next month.
