Initial unemployment claims fell more in Massachusetts than in any other state over the week ending March 10, a drop of 2,974 from the previous week, according to advance figures from the U.S. Department of Labor.
Nationwide, seasonally adjusted initial claims fell 14,000 over the week to 351,000. The four-week moving average, which evens out the fluctuations of week-to-week numbers, held steady at 355,750.
