JOAN VORSTER of Worcester law firm Mirick O’Connell has been admitted as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. She is a partner of the litigation group at Mirick O’Connell as well as a member of the firm’s management committee. She graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Skidmore College in New York and earned her law degree from Boston College Law School.

Bozena “Bo” Makowski

Oriol Health Care, headquartered in Holden, welcomed BOZENA “Bo” MAKOWSKI of Grafton as director of nursing for Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in West Boylston. Makowski was born in Poland and immigrated to the U.S. in 1980 after graduating college with a degree in pharmaceutical science. Makowski’s predecessor, CYNTHIA SNYDER of Paxton, has moved into the director of nursing position at Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center. Snyder had served as the Oakdale director of nursing for the past seven years. The Oakdale and Holden facilities are both part of Oriol Health Care.

Mosher

Eagle Cleaning Corp., a commercial cleaning company in Worcester, hired TRACY MOSHER as its director of business development and human resources. Her role includes overseeing customer service, business development, and human resources. Mosher majored in business marketing at West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Rockland Trust in Hanover has hired THOMAS GOLDEN as vice president and community reinvestment act officer. He leaves his position as compliance examiner at the regulatory agency Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Golden will be responsible for promoting, developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of the bank’s community reinvestment program. He has a bachelor of science degree from Suffolk University in Boston and a master’s of business administration degree from University of Massachusetts Boston.

Piehl

Bay State Savings Bank promoted LAUREN PIEHL to assistant vice president, branch manager and financial literacy coordinator at the bank’s 275 Mill St. location in Worcester. Piehl joined Bay State in 2016 as a bank supervisor and was promoted to branch manager in 2017. In addition to her role at Bay State Savings, Piehl serves on the Women’s Initiative of Central MA Financial Literacy Committee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Becker College, formerly in Leicester.

Burlingame

Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects in Hopkinton hired REBECCA BURLINGAME as its interior design project manager. She brings more than 15 years of experience in design of institutional, commercial, and affordable housing projects. Burlingame received her bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and her master’s in interior design from the Boston Architectural College.

Jette

JILLIAN JETTE was hired as the director of development for Girls Inc. of Worcester. The mission of Girls Inc. is to provide under-resourced girls access to programs empowering them to be their best selves. Prior to her current role, Jette served as assistant director for public engagement at Nichols College in Dudley. She earned her bachelor of science degree in hospitality and event management from Lasell University in Newton and master of business administration and master of science in organizational leadership from Nichols College.

ALEXIS MACHA was promoted from personal banker to assistant branch manager of bankHometown’s Webster location. She joined bankHometown as a teller in 2019. Macha completed coursework at both Quinebaug Valley Community College in Connecticut and Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Borawski

North Brookfield Savings Bank has hired KAZ BORAWSKI as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He leaves his position as CFO for Holyoke Credit Union. He holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Baruch College in New York City as well as a master’s in business administration in finance from Manhattan College in the Bronx borough of New York City.
