SARAH ADAMS of Springfield has joined the staff of the Central Massachusetts Planning Commission in Worcester as a principal planner within the community development and planning division. Adams, a former project planner with Westfield consulting firm Tighe & Bond, will support municipalities as they seek to fund and implement green and energy efficient projects under the Department of Energy Resources’ Green Communities program. Adams sits on the board of the New England Women in Energy & the Environment.
The Better Business Bureau of Central New England has elected new board officers and welcomed three new members to its board of directors. Three directors were elected as officers for the 2019-’20 term: Chair RICK PORTER, president of Cinch IT in Worcester; Vice Chair MICHELE KASABULA, owner of the Law Office of Michele F. Kasabula in Sutton; and Secretary MICHAEL DUFFY, an attorney with Fletcher Tilton in Worcester. Three new members were: MARIE MOURADIAN, owner of Window Designs Etc. in Holden; ILYA M. SHNAYDER, CEO of Shnayder Enterprises in Auburn and Holyoke; and TED STRZELECKI, owner of Solar Wolf Energy in Douglas.
Worcester nonprofit Open Sky Community Services has appointed SUSAN MEDEIROS as its vice president of behavioral health services and MATT SANFORD as its vice president of information technology. Medeiros succeeds Erica Robert, who in July was promoted to senior vice president of community services. She has a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Assumption College in Worcester and has nearly 25 years of experience with mental health organizations. She was most recently the assistant director of clinical services for Chesterfield Community Support Services in Virginia. Sanford, who is in a newly created position, is a former U.S. Marine with more than 20 years of IT experience. He was most recently the director of information technology at Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center in Worcester.
Harrington Physician Services has welcomed new providers: Dr. LYDIA PARZYCH, Dr. RANIA ELENEIN, and nurses SHANISE PEREZ, CAROL ELIADI, CORI BAILEY and LINDA PIO. Parzych, of Auburn, joins the orthopedic surgery department in Southbridge. She received her medical degree from UMass Medical School and completed a fellowship at the University of Rochester. Elenein, of Ayer, offers neurology consultations and treatment. She received her medical degree from the University of Mansoura in Egypt and completed a fellowship at the University of Michigan. Perez, of Northbridge, is seeing adults and children for outpatient mental health counseling. She received her master’s degree with a focus on psychiatric mental health from Northeastern University in Boston. Elialdi, of Shrewsbury, is seeing patients for outpatient mental health counseling. She has a master’s degree from UMass and has more than 30 years of experience in higher education, including as graduate professor and dean of the nursing program at
MCPHS University. Bailey, of Woodstock, Conn., is seeing adults and children for routine and diagnostic preventative primary care. She has a master’s degree from MCPHS, where she received the Academic Achievement Award. Pio, of Thompson, Conn., provides urological consultations and in-office treatment for conditions including prostate disease, urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction. She has a master’s degree from Regis College in Weston and has worked at UMass Memorial Health Care, Reliant Medical Group and Saint Vincent Hospital.
CHRISTOPHER R. GILLIN is the new manager of Clinton Savings Bank’s Sterling branch. Gillin brings more than 11 years of banking experience and focuses on building relationships with customers, along with staff development and overall office operations.
Colantonio Inc., a Holliston construction management firm, has hired DYLAN KEYSER as assistant project manager and BLAYNE CARNEY as assistant superintendent. Keyser joins the firm with five years of experience in the municipal, retail and healthcare markets, and he holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clarkson University in New York. Carney served in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan for five years before earning a bachelor’s degree in economics from Nazareth College in New York. His experience includes new construction and historic renovation of large mixed-use facilities.
