Meet the new boss

Leominster Credit Union's new interim president and CEO is a familiar face around LCU.

Gordon R. Edmonds, announced as the credit union's temporary head late last week, has been a member of LCU's management team for nearly six years, most recently as senior vice president for lending, a position he'll retain as LCU's interim president/CEO.

Former CEO John R. Caulfield was named president and CEO of St. Mary's Credit Union in Marlborough in May.

"Our members, who number more than 33,000, can expect the outstanding level of services that they've been receiving," Edmonds said in a statement. "We're always improving our member services, and that focus isn't going to change."

The credit union has recently unveiled a new logo (featured in the May 13 issue of the Worcester Business Journal) and expanded online banking options.

"We've invested a great deal of time and effort in developing our online banking service," Edmonds said. "We're committed to using technology that's appropriate for the needs of our members."
