AltE, formerly the Alternative Energy Store, has powered up its first solar electric system on the roof of the Hudson Mill Business Center, where the company is located.
The company said the system will power its headquarters and will also serve as a hands-on educational tool for its customers, professional solar power system installers and homeowners who intend to install solar power system themselves.
AltE is a retailer of solar electric systems and other renewable energy products. The company said it has recently seen increased interest from homeowners who wish to use solar power to produce household hot water.
