People love using the Internet to research their travel plans. But those Web sites could be a little more user-friendly, according The Conference Board’s Consumer Internet Barometer , which found that about 20 percent of people used travel Web sites solely to research their travel arrangements and about a third researched and also booked their travel arrangements via a travel Web site. Only 30 percent of consumers expressed a high level of satisfaction with travel sites, although an additional 55 percent say they are somewhat satisfied. That may be one reason online research and bookings have declined over the past three years, the group said.
