Hopkinton 55+ development begins sales with $589K homes

Construction has begun on the first phase of the 55-plus development The Trails in Hopkinton.
The Trails, a 55-plus development in Hopkinton, has sold nearly half the homes in its first phase after opening its model home in October.
The development will have 180 homes in three phases, adding to a fast-growing section of Hopkinton north of East Main Street and east of Wilson Street long used as part of Weston Nurseries. Adjacent to The Trials is Legacy Farms by Pulte Homes, a development that today is small way toward what is eventually planned as 1,120 units after a decade or more.
The Trails says it has reserved or sold nearly half of its 40-unit first phase. The development had a grand opening for its model home on Oct. 5 and 6.
Prices at The Trails start at $589,000, with units ranging from 2,100 square feet to 2,500 square feet.
