Pho Sure, a Vietnamese restaurant based in the White Plaza in Shrewsbury, is set to make its long-awaited move across Lake Quinsigamond to Worcester’s Shrewsbury Street on Thursday.
Pho Sure will move to the former location of The Wexford House restaurant at 503 Shrewsbury St., with its last day of operation in Shrewsbury slated for Sunday. Wexford House closed in April 2020.
Business owner Son Vo purchased the former Wexford House site for $1.4 million in November 2021. Vo told WBJ he purchased the building for its larger square footage and parking lot, as well as a friendly financing deal with the former property owner.
In addition to owning Pho Sure, Vo operates Chashu Ramen & Izakaya in Downtown Worcester and Kaizen Sushi Bar & Grill in Sturbridge.
A native of Vietnam and graduate of Worcester's South High Community School, Vo was named Small Business Leader of the Year as part of the 2019 WBJ Business Leaders of the Year awards.
