Framingham-based Global Technology Systems announced that its batteries and mobile device chargers will no longer have the Honeywell brand name.
According to GTS, its 10-year relationship with Honeywell International will cease Dec. 31. The company expects to completely phase out the Honeywell brand as of March 31 and it products will all have the GTS and Global Technology Systems branding.
GTS COO Michael Grosberg said the change comes as a result of his company’s expanding its model and product lines “that go well beyond the limitations of the Honeywell Batteries branding.
“With our new technical and service innovations we have now established a superior position of industry leadership, and it is time for us to focus on our own unique identity."
"We are now deeply committed to our unique Test & Replace battery field services, our new GTS Genius Batteries, mobile power management systems, and our Power by the Hour Program, where our customers can pay for battery energy as they use it,” he said.
