Empowerment Center, Clark Form Partnership

MBA students from Clark University's Graduate School of Management will soon be working as business development consultants at the Martin Luther King Jr. Business Empowerment Center in Worcester.

The partnership will provide "immediate access" to the MBA candidate-consultants, who will work under the guidance of the economic development agency's staff.

The center said the number of people who want to start their own businesses has increased as the recession has deepened.

As the entrepreneurs learn from the Clark students, the students will learn from the "real world" business owners, the center said.
