Hopkinton-based EMC Corp. took a larger slice of the worldwide disk storage systems market in the fourth quarter of 2010, even as the entire market grew larger, according to Framingham-based tracking firm International Data Corp.
EMC’s share of the total disk storage market rose to 19.2 percent, putting it in a statistical tie with HP for the top spot on that chart. That position reflects factory revenues of $1.6 billion. In the same period the previous year, EMC’s factory revenues stood at $1.2 billion, and it held 17.3 percent of the market, significantly below HP’s 19.9 percent.
