Framingham energy management company Ameresco Inc. is helping six Mississippi schools improve their energy efficiency.
Monroe County School District hired Ameresco to improve the efficiency of 368,000 square feet of schools and other facilities. The project is intended to be budget neutral, with a quarter of the cost covered by federal stimulus funding and the other 75 percent to be paid from guaranteed energy savings.
Ameresco has guaranteed $90,470 in savings for the first year.
