Medway-based exercise equipment maker Cybex International has formed a partnership with the University of Massachusetts at Amherst’s department of kinesiology.
As part of the agreement, Cybex has provided $120,000 in equipment for use in the department’s fitness center, including 10 cardio and 12 resistance training machines.
As part of the agreement, the department of kinesiology will provide feedback to Cybex on its equipment design and effectiveness and will evaluate the company’s prototypes.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the partnership will be held March 10 at UMass Amherst.
