Ask company leaders what keeps a company strong, and many of them say strong leaders.
That was the top answer in a survey of more than 1,400 CEOs by staffing firm Robert Half Finance & Accounting. When asked what will best protect companies from competitive threats in the next three years, 28 percent said strong company leadership. Another 27 percent said a focus on hiring the best people, and 24 percent said up-to-date technology.
Just 9 percent chose the ability to develop and implement new ideas quickly, and 6 percent said up-to-date competitive intelligence and market data.
