Six months after buying the American Mobile Home Park in Auburn, a limited liability corporation registered to Robert, Kevin, Gary and Jana Baker of Newton has purchased a second mobile home park off Route 20 in Auburn for just under $2.5 million.
Whispering Pines Estates, at 47 Washington St. just next to the Worcester line, was bought by the Baker's corporation from a firm registered to Susan Racine of Auburn. The sale closed Oct. 9. The sale price values each of Whispering Pines' units at roughly $46,500.
The 11-acre site was last assessed by the Town of Auburn at $647,000.
In April, American MHP, a corporation owned by Bob, Kevin and Gary Baker, bought American Mobile Home Park, located at 751 Washington St. in Auburn, for $2.35 million.
"As a family, we spent many years living in Central Massachusetts and are excited to be part of the continued growth in an area that is very special to us,” said Bob Baker, in a statement following the American Mobile Home Park purchase.
To anonymous you wouldn't want to live in this trailer park since it got sold. As of January 1st they going up $100 for the next 5 years.
It's no longer cheaper to live in a trailer park.
People who buy it are basically wanting it for profit.
Many seniors like that type of living because the units are smaller and you don't have to take care of much.
But because of big companies buying out some of these trailer parks then making it so that you can't really live cheap anymore.
It's a shame total shame what they're doing to people who live on a limited income.
