Quinsigamond Community College's online associate degree program offers America's fifth best return on investment, according to a higher education rankings site.
OnlineU places QCC tied for fifth overall, with the Worcester school and others rated by salary after graduation and student debt. QCC announced the ratings on Monday, with President Luis Pedraja calling the school's online programs as robust as what it offers in person.
“It’s particularly gratifying to receive this acknowledgement as we continue with remote instruction due to the pandemic," Pedraja said in a statement. "It is validation of all the work that our faculty and staff do to help our students."
QCC has shifted almost entirely online during the coronavirus pandemic for the fall semester, and it announced in October it plans to stick with remote learning for the spring.

The school's return-on-investment for its online associate degrees was behind only Excelsior College in New York, Weber State University in Utah, Southern New Hampshire University and Thomas Edison State University in New Jersey. QCC tied with Columbia Southern University in Alabama.
QCC was rated by OnlineU as the sixth best online program among Massachusetts community colleges, behind Bristol Community College in Fall River, Holyoke Community College, North Shore Community College in Danvers, Bunker Hill Community College in Boston, and Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner.
