Acton-based SeaChange has secured a U.S. patent for a new software application that aims at streamlining one of America’s favorite pastimes – watching TV.
The new application, known as Channel Overlay, aims at making it easier for television viewers “to sift through the thousands of program listings and find content that is important to the user,” according to a company spokesman.
Channel Overlay was invented by George Breen, president of SeaChange, and Stephen Kraiman, the company’s vice president of technology.
