PRESIDENT/CEO, inConcert Web Solutions Inc.
Company location: Gardner
Residence: Gardner
Favorite movie: "Die Hard"
Age: 37
Career highlights: I moved to Mass-achusetts in 1997 and got a job at Allmerica Financial, working in the mailroom. I worked my way up to the software testing team and transitioned to a position with Lycos.com in Waltham. While there, I started my company as a part-time business. In 2005, I left to run my business full time. My intention was to serve businesses that did not have a website by educating them
Community involvement: I learned early on from philanthropist Milton Hershey that you need to give back. I donate my time and skill set to Habitat For Humanity of North Central Massachusetts by assisting with the agency’s websites as well as participating on its development committee. I am an ambassador for the Wachusett Chamber of Commerce as well. In addition, I contribute to the Gardner VNA as a member of its fund development committee.
Biggest success: I would say that my biggest success is steering my company through difficult times in the economy. By paying particular attention to detail, I was able to get us through unscathed and have had record growth in 2011.
Biggest challenge: Balancing life and work is my biggest challenge. I love networking and I attend many functions and events. In 2010 I got focused on my health and in 2011 I got focused on taking some time off to relax. I still work hard, however now I make sure to plan some vacation time and family time.
Mentor: My relationship with my friend James Desrosiers of Growth Co. has proven to be an incredible asset to my personal and professional growth.
Hidden talent: For many years, I coached youth football and I am the offensive line coach for the Twin City Blue Raiders semi-pro football team of the Eastern Football League.
